Smiley Apiaries

My beekeeping business began with eight hives in 1989. By June 1996 I had grown to a commercial size operation, so I decided to commit to keeping bees full time. Today we produce one of the most famous honeys in the world. Tupelo Honey is well known for its distinctive, delicious and delicate flavor. Our honey is produced from the white (ogechee) Tupelo trees that grow profusely in the Apilachicola river basin, an area well known for its high quality Tupelo Honey.
