Honey is Not All the Same.

Honey is available in many varieties! Did you realize that honey is available in many different varieties? When bees visit mostly one kind of flower as they gather nectar, the honey they produce has a unique taste, aroma and color from that particular flower. Other honeys are delicious blends of floral sources (look for Mixed Flower, Polyfloral, Wildflower).

The Honey Locator is a website you can use to find suppliers of these many varieties of honey.

Our database also includes ways to search for other forms of honey (like comb honey or whipped honey). When our youngest brother expressed his satisfaction in working with bees, it was a surprise. We all have helped Ben and his wife in their endeavor to make beekeeping a fulltime pursuit. Appreciation for bees and all that they make has blossomed in our family. We now have 7 family members caring for the bees. We take loving care of “our bees”. They are cared for so they can do all that they do naturally. They even get a “winter vacation” so they can still bask in the sun! Honey is good just by itself and also makes many luscious things. We offer creamed honey with real berries or pecans and other natural flavors, honey soap with exciting scents, pollen, comb honey, and propolis. Beeswax is turned into lip balm, intensive care skin salve, and candles. Soon we’ll be adding more products! Our offering of bamboo clothing, bedding, and towels complements our interest in useful natural items. Whether you have a garden or a commercial crop to pollinate, we can help. Bees are necessary for nut crops, cucumbers, and squash and help increase the yield of peppers and tomatoes.
